edo, a digital marketing company with a significant presence in Chicago, said Thursday that it has raised $15 million in funding from investors including Chicago-based Baird Venture Partners.

The firm is headquartered in Nashville but considers Chicago a second base. It employs more than 20 people locally and is looking to double that in the next six months as part of a broader plan to more than double its total staff. In nine months, Edo could employ 125 people mostly in sales and operations, said Chief Executive Ed Braswell.

With the newest round of funding, Edo has raised a total of $54.3 million. VantagePoint Capital Partners, a Silicon Valley firm, led the latest round. Participant Baird Venture Partners had led a $20 million investment in edo last year.
